Affected: Group drives of the university, pre-clinic
Impact: None, CIFS-shares may need to be reconnected
Yesterday evening (06/05/2019) from 7:35pm on the mass storage system responsible for the group drives of the university (NetApp) went through several, initially transparent to the users failover events that cumulated in the night in a short outtage of the system between 3:35am and 3:55am.
We were able to quickly restore system health and configure a workaround so there were no further outages or failover events since then. However, for a final fix of the root cause, it is necessary to perform a firmware upgrade, which we would then perform this evening at 6pm. There should be no significant impairment for the users (CIFS shares may need to be reconnected depending on the version of the operating system used).
