Affected: UNIX home directories for University and the UNIX and Windows home directories for MPG
Impact: Home Directories are not available

In order to improve the file service maintenance will be performed on Thursday May 18th. In detail the file service environment will be upgraded to the most recent StorNext version, additionally new, more effective nfs servers will be deployed. During the down time the UNIX home directories for the University  and  the UNIX and Windows home directories for the Max Planck Society will not be available.

Especially nfs mounts for functional accounts on virtual or real machines are affected. After the maintenance a new mount of the file system has to be performed as follows:

fs-user.fs.gwdg.de:/stornext/<filesytem> <mount-point>
(instead of: fs-user1.gwdg.de:/home/<filesytem> <mount-point>)

e.g.
new: fs-user.fs.gwdg.de:/stornext/uni/uni02/ULSB/subtypo3 <mount-point>
old: fs-user1.gwdg.de:/home/uni/uni02/ULSB/subtypo3 <mount-point>
