The University of Göttingen, in collaboration with the GWDG, has successfully submitted an application for teaching projects in the “Teaching Architecture” competition organised by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education. The “Generative Artificial Intelligence Agent” (GAIA) project is developing a personalised tutoring system based on generative AI that offers students individual learning paths. The funding volume applied for GAIA for the total period of six years amounts to 6.6 million euros.
“The GWDG’s contributions were essential to the success of the application. The project offers a promising opportunity for the university to integrate AI into teaching on a large scale and thus support students and teachers in particular. It also strengthens our ability to offer AI services on a national level.” says Prof. Dr. Julian Kunkel, Deputy Head of the GWDG – High-Performance Computing and coordinator of the AI Service Centre KISSKI.
