The issue regarding the vCenter connection is resolved. Please excuse the disruption.
Background information:
Due to an error in connection with the internal certificate management the vCenter was blocking all log ins.
In cooperation with the vendor we reset all certificates to fix the issue, leading to the need to reinstall our signed certificates as well.
We modified our processes to prevent the issue in the future and used the outage to switch the vCenter to the now used ACME certification method.
