In keeping with the AI focus, the organizer, Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung und Stadtentwicklung G\u00f6ttingen mbH (GWG), invited the GWDG to co-organize and actively participate in the event.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_23916\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-23916\" style=\"width: 490px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-23916\" src=\"https:\/\/info.gwdg.de\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/240612_GWGLogistikTagung24_\u00a9Alciro-Theodoro-da-Silva_web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"356\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-23916\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Logistics Conference in G\u00f6ttingen 2024<br \/>photo: \u00a9Alciro Theodoro da Silva<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Around 90 participants kicked off the topic &#8222;AI &#8211; Brave New World&#8220; at the Sartorius Campus G\u00f6ttingen. After a get-together and time for networking, the event continued at the GWDG in the G\u00f6ttingen Computer Center (RZG\u00f6). During guided tours, Stefan Teusch and Andr\u00e9 Jendrysseck from the GWDG offered participants the opportunity to experience the high-performance computing (HPC) area, provided insights into the complex processes in the data center and explained the technology. Prof. Dr. Julian Kunkel gave an insight into the world of high-performance computing and the handling of large amounts of data.
