{"id":22997,"date":"2023-04-27T14:34:03","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T12:34:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/info.gwdg.de\/news\/?p=22997"},"modified":"2023-05-11T16:56:25","modified_gmt":"2023-05-11T14:56:25","slug":"kisski-opening-symposium-on-06-06-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/info.gwdg.de\/news\/kisski-opening-symposium-on-06-06-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"KISSKI Opening Symposium on 06.06.2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 06.06.2023, starting at 15:00, the <a href=\"https:\/\/kisski.gwdg.de\/symposium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" class=\"external\">opening symposium<\/a> for the new &#8222;AI Service Center for Sensitive and Critical Infrastructures&#8220; (KISSKI) will take place at the G\u00f6ttinger Rechenzentrum, Burckhardtweg 4.<\/p>\n<p>KISSKI aims at researching artificial intelligence (AI) methods and providing them in a highly available service center. Particular focus is placed on the fields of energy and medicine with their high potential for AI-driven process optimization as well as the particularly high demands on the underlying hardware and software. KISSKI not only provides the corresponding IT infrastructure and develops AI services, but also offers comprehensive consulting and training services.<\/p>\n<p>The new joint project, led by the University of G\u00f6ttingen and comprising a total of seven research institutions at the G\u00f6ttingen, Hannover and Kassel sites, will be funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) from November 2022 with 17 million euros for an initial period of three years.
