On Saturday, 02.04.2021, the relocation of further NetApp systems from GWDG’s mass storage environment to the new data centre at Burckhardtweg will take place from 08:00 in the morning. These are core components of the GWDG mass storage infrastructure on which many important services depend.<\/p>\n

The move necessitates a shutdown of the systems and thus a downtime of all dependent services. We hope that the move can be successfully completed by Saturday evening, but we cannot rule out that the work will continue through Sunday.<\/p>\n

The following services won’t be available during the move:<\/p>\n

– Group drives for the university institutes: wfs-<Fakult\u00e4t>.top.gwdg.de (the special drives wfs-<Fakult\u00e4t>-spezial.top.gwdg.de are *not* affected)
\n– Home directories of university staff („P-drives“): winfs-<area>.top.gwdg.de
\n– Some GWDG services:<\/p>\n

\n– https:\/\/meet.gwdg.de
\n– https:\/\/gitlab.gwdg.de
\n– https:\/\/harbor.gwdg.de
\n– https:\/\/owncloud.gwdg.de
\n– https:\/\/singularity.gwdg.de
\n– https:\/\/cloud.bioimgagingnet.mpg.de
\n– https:\/\/textplus.sync.academiccloud.de<\/p>\n

For https:\/\/meet.gwdg.de, we are still looking for an alternative that will not take the service out of operation. We will provide information on this in a separate operational announcement.<\/p>\n
