Impact: failure of the fileservice
Currently the File Service of the GWDG is down. We are working intensely on the rectification. We apologize for any inconveniences.
Update #1: The manufacturer is on it. At that time, a necessary Filesystem check is running. The current disruption is estimated for about an hour.
Update #2: The disruption in the domain of the “Vorklinik” (preclinical domain) is fixed.
Update #3: The following network drives of the university is currently not available:
Update #4: Unfortunately the Filesystem check is running longer than the estimated time, so the disruption will last a little bit longer. We are working with all available funds on it.
Update #5: The Filesystem check is progressed well. We hope that the check will be end at 5 pm and that the Fileservice will be available again.
Update #6: The Filesystem check lasts longer than the estimated time. It is expected that the check will be finished at 10pm. Afterwards the fileservice will be available again. We are still working at full speed and apologize for any inconveniences.
Update #7: The Filesystem check, which consists of various Systemworks, is unfortunately not finished yet. The system needs more time than estimated. Unfortunately we cannot speed up or interrupt it. The complete closure and the restarting of the network drives of the university will be delay to early in the morning.
Update #8: The Filesystem check has ended successfully. Nevertheless, the system cannot put in service yet. The manufacturer Quantum was sent all data for any analysis. The duration of the failure is not known yet. We are working at full speed on the rectification.
Update #9: As a last step of the recovery, a quota check is running now. Afterwards, the fileservice will be available again. Please have a little bit more patience.
