To further enhance the security of IT services at the University of Göttingen and the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is being introduced as of today. This will ensure that all user accounts are better protected against unauthorized access.

The rollout will not take place for all members at the same time, but will be staggered according to the following schedule. This approach allows us to provide the best possible support during the transition and to minimize any disruption to operations. Please note that in some cases it may be necessary to postpone the switchover of certain user groups.

Rollout schedule:

• University of Göttingen staff: approx. 12:00
• UMG staff: approx. 14:00
• University of Göttingen students: approx. 18:00
