Affected: WLAN of the UMG and the University of Göttingen, as far as equipped with Cisco access points
Impact: Repeated interruptions of up to 10 minutes can be expected

Cisco WLAN controllers will be upgraded to a newer version of their operating software. This is necessary for integration of more powerful WLAN access points into the system in the future. The entire UMG WLAN and individual parts of the university WLAN are affected. The latter one is affected as far as new Cisco components are equipped (since 2015, in particular at sites Geiststraße, conference center at Wilhelmsplatz, Juridicum, BIN / DZNE, parts of the Faculty of Geoscience and Geography and some single APs).
