Göttingen becomes one of the centers of the newly founded National High Performance Computing Alliance (NHR). This is what the Joint Science Conference (GWK) announced today. Associated with this is funding totaling around 72 million euros over ten years. The application was submitted on behalf of the seven northern German states of the North German Supercomputing Alliance (HLRN) for a joint NHR center of its locations University of Göttingen/GWDG and Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB).
