Data Transmission Networks

When designing a new data transmission network, the specific technical and organisational requirements have to be taken into consideration as well as the already existing data processing infrastructure, the surrounding environment, and predictable future developments. It is worked out which is the most suitable network topology, hardware for the transmission medium, transmission equipment, like bridges, concentrators etc. and network software. Furthermore, the appropriate access methods to external data transmission networks are planned.
