To mitigate the risk of sender forgery and thus to improve e-mail security, the SPF policies for domains maintained by the GWDG will be tightened on August 15th, 2022, as already announced in the GWDG Nachrichten 6/2022.

Therefore we ask once again all administrators who maintain their own e-mail servers in e-mail domains managed by the GWDG to contact us immediately by sending an e-mail to support@gwdg.de. In the short term, the IP addresses of these servers can be added to the DNS SPF configuration.

In the medium term, these servers should be configured to use mailer.gwdg.de as an e-mail gateway to the Internet.
