Affected: Users with passwords older than 10 years
Impact: any login impossible

On Friday, March 4th, 2016, all passwords have been invalidated which were not changed for 10 years or more. This step has already been mentioned several times before. For security reasons and due to the fact that password rules have recently been tightened by the University, 10-year-old passwords are not valid any more.

In most cases, users affected still have the chance to logon at https://idm.gwdg.de and to update their password. Otherwise, they must contact their local IT administrator or the GWDG.
