On Thursday 13th at 5 pm the service jupyter-cloud.gwdg.de will undergo an update. The service gets a new version of JupyterLab and the image fpr Jupyter Notebooks.

The new JupyterLab supports life debugging with supported kernels (https://jupyterlab.readthedocs.io/en/stable/user/debugger.html). Additionally a XPython 3.8 kernel will be installed that supports JupyterLab debugging. A plugin for working with Git repositories is also installed (https://github.com/jupyterlab/jupyterlab-git/blob/master/README.md).

In the process all running notebooks will be stopped and the service will be unavailable for about 30 min.
