Impact: GWDG Cloud Share
Affected: “GWDG Cloud Share” with an eduroam account has been disable, every e-mail alias can now be used for logging into the service together with the password of that account and still be mapped to the same account and its folders
As previously announced login to GWDG Cloud Share with an eduroam account has been disable on the night to Friday (http://info.gwdg.de/news/en/discontinuation-of-eduroam-authentication-for-gwdg-cloud-share/). Please see the previous news for details.
Another change has been made to accounts logging in to “GWDG Cloud Share” with an LDAP account, that is a regular account from our Identity Management. Every e-mail alias can now be used for logging into the service together with the password of that account and still be mapped to the same account and its folders. Using an e-mail alias to invite users or to log into the service will not anymore lead to a new and separated account to be created.
If you have questions about these changes or difficulties reaching your account and folders please refer to the previous announcement (http://info.gwdg.de/news/en/discontinuation-of-eduroam-authentication-for-gwdg-cloud-share/) and contact us at support@gwdg.de
