Several institutions of the Göttingen Campus are involved in consortia of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). At the suggestion of the the Council for Scientific Information Infrastructures (RfII), the Joint Science Conference (GWK) established the NFDI as a funding line to systematically develop, sustainably secure, and make widely accessible data sets from science and research. In the coming years, around 85 million euros will flow into up to 30 different specialist consortia. In the first round, five consortia involving the Göttingen Campus will also receive funding, starting on October 1, 2020
